TRAPPER NEEDS

The trapping season started very late this year because of the cold weather. The CumbreCats do not like to come early in the warming to feed, which makes trapping difficult. We have a few cats on our to-do list as usual, and we suspect that some cats have moved to private gardens where they feel safe and get food.

We need to get a handle on this, and we need the help of caring people to do so. Please note: We always need accurate information if we are to set traps. We only have a few trappers, all are volunteers and some have full time jobs. Therefore, trapping has to be effective.

  • We need photos.
  • We need to know the feeding place.
  • The cats should come regularly.
  • The cats should get food at the same time in the morning.
  • Trapping in the early morning is the most effective. In the morning it is quiet, the cats are not stressed by construction noise, upcoming traffic and so on.

In Total since June 2020, we have cared for 311 CumbreCats ❤️

Please let us know if you see a sick cat.

Try to gain their trust by feeding them daily. Then we have more chance of catching them. Sick or injured cats are usually very, very shy.

THANK YOU
