TRAPPING REPORT - DECEMBER 20, 2020

The Trapping week started on Tuesday, December 15, 2020. Tina was up and out by 8:00 in the Magnolias zone where she prepared 3 traps but only a ear-tipped cat appeared. The cats all know now that the trappers are out to get them and their 6th cat sense is in alarm mode. Tina waited patiently and fed the neutered one. The feeding noise lured a grey female mother with many kittens to Tina. The cat watched her from under the car. Tina tried to coax her into the trap with a bit of wet fishy cat food, which she enjoyed. Tina then prepared the trap with this food and the female entered, ate all the food, and satified left the cage. So, Tina restocked the trap with a sardine but the female showed no interest. So Tina tried some tuna, but that did not work either. So, Tina tried a biscuit, and the female cat took a tiny bite and disappeared again.
