CumbreCats TNR and Rescue

A KITCHEN CAPER Trapper Report: "A few months ago, a large white macho CumbreCat with a grey tail moved into the Olivos zone. He has made a habit of visiting my kitchen window to beg for food. At first only in the evenings, but he started showing up in the mornings too, which provided a good opportunity to trap him. He is mostly white, and his ear was already showing signs of skin cancer.  I had planned to trap another cat, a white and grey macho nearby, but when this very large white male showed up very early in the morning, I could not resist trying my luck with him.  I prepared the trap with some smelly food, and gradually he plucked up enough courage to come in through the kitchen window, after nibbling on the counter, down to the floor where the trap was set. I had to make myself invisible, but I could hear him eating and after 15 minutes of rooting for him, he went all the way into the trap.  When I heard the click, I covered the whole trap with a big dark towel.
