OCTOBER 25, 2022 - TRAPPING & FUNDING REPORT

WELCOME, It is so heart-warming to witness the community making an effort to learn about catching and transporting CumbreCats to the village vet. It's great that people want to help with our campaign by learning how to take the important steps. KALMIAS KITTENS NOW NEUTERED The neighbours from the Kalmias zone have become an effective team. In just a few weeks, they manage to neuter an entire family of six. These friendly people had fed the family in their garden. The kittens had become very tame and trusting of their keepers. It was easy for the fosters to pick up the kittens, who are now young adults, and put them in transport boxes. They managed to get four of the CumbreCats to the village vet in this friendly way, but the fifth kitten escaped. It took another day to catch this last family member. OCTOBER 9TH, FUNDRAISER * TOTAL 1097,50 EUROS

Greeting Everyone, I will be brief, because I have already thanked everyone involved in this event in our Facebook group.  Now I would like to thank everyone who came and supported our fundraiser. The atmosphere was really great and the weather perfect.  Afterwards we had a delicious lunch with our community. Kindness is not what you do,  but who you are.

OCTOBER 8, 2022 - TRAPPING REPORT

GREETINGS ALL,  The trapping team has been very busy and very successful. We are very grateful to all the residents who helped us with this campaign. Together we are making our home a better place to live for all breathing creatures.  EASY CATCH On 19 September, the lovely CumbreCats caretaker from Magnolias continued her efforts to have the entire family living in her garden neutered. She managed to catch a white tabby male and put him in a carrier. She took him to Veronica, the vet, to have him neutered and after his transfer, the carer took him back to his home that evening. THE WHOLE FAMILY During the week of 22 September, our caretaker from the Atenea zone started to have the CumbreCats from her garden neutered. The mother had already been neutered weeks ago, but now the kittens were of age and needed to be neutered. As the young macho was friendly to her due to her loving care and feeding, she was able to put him in a transport box without any problems. She took the boy ...
