TRAPPING REPORT - NOVEMBER 22, 2020

The week started in an unlikely way. On Monday, November 16, 2020, Rastro Bruce trapped a black and white male cat in Pueblo de la Luz. He knew to take the cat down to Veronica the village vet, which he did at 9:00.

Bruce then picked up at cat at14:00 and released it back at 19:00.

On Tuesday, November 17, 2020, Trapper Tina decided to try her luck behind Pepe la Sal.

She started at 7:30 and 5 cats appeared. She thought they would be hungry because the daily feeder had not fed them yet.

One beautiful cat came quickly up to the trap and touched the trigger. The door shut and that was that! Tina quickly covered trap and put it into her car and let the cat calm himself. After 5 minutes, Tina checked on the cat and unfortunately it was already ear-tipped. Tina released the cat at once.

Now the cats had been spooked. When the other cats heard the "clack" noise of the trap door they ran away.  Tina had to weight about 15 minutes for some to appear again. But nobody was interested in the cat food in the trap. It was like they all had decided wait for their beloved cat feeder.

After waiting an hour, Tina decided to try trapping at a spot in the Begonias zone. There she was finally lucky and trapped a big make tabby who could not resist the sardines.

At 10:30, Tina dropped him to Veronica the vet and picked him up at 14:00 H.

After recovering,  Tina released him at 18:00 H and he shot like an arrow and disappeared.

On Wednesday, November 18, 2020, Trappers Andrea and Tina each went out with traps.

At 7:25am Tina drove over to Andrea's place. She is a cat lover lady in the Olivos zone. Andrea's kindness and friendly interaction with the cats met that she only had to grab a macho and put in into a carrier box.

This cat was just a kitten when he appeared under Andrea's car one day and she has been feeding him every days since.

Tina decided to trap over in the Girasoles zone near the horse stables. She set up her trap near a bush where she spotted a little colony.

Shortly time after Tina set up her trap near the bushes where a little colony lived. A big macho strolled very leisurely to her trap, sniffed a little bit and decided to look around. He couldn't find anything else very interesting so he returned to the trap.

Tina has laid a trail with little sardine pieces, which he started to eat. Step by step, he came closer to the trigger and finally touched it with the last piece of sardine. He was trapped at 8:20.

At 9:00, Tina dropped both males to Veronica. They were ready at 12:30 for pick up.

After a long sleep, Tina released them at their home-zones. The black and white young male was so happy to be reunited with his friends near Andreas house.
