SUNDAY MORNING FUNDRAISER FUN

This was our first time hosting a RASTRO. It proved to be a really fun time. The fundraising team set up treasures and by early morning sales were already underway.

All in all 200 Euros was raised and delivered to Veronica the vet in the village.

Bruce, a longtime resident of Cumbre del Sol, ended up becoming our Master of Ceremonies and Sales. He really did a fabulous job coming up with the prices and getting the money into the donation box. He also delivered the cash to the vet and collected the receipt of payment.

ABOUT THE EVENT

On Sunday 26th of July, the weather was lovely and the air was fresh at our favorite location on the Cumbre between the tennis courts and the paddle ball courts.

Mari Paz, the owner of the bar/restaurant up there, kept us in yummy coffee and fresh croissants with potted jam.

It was fabulous to network with local people and supporters who came all the way from Javea.

I believe that we can look upon these fundraising events as excellent networking opportunities as well as promotional opportunities to let people know about our independent program to control and care for the cats on Cumbre del Sol.

In Conclusion: It was a consensus that we hold these events on the last Sunday of every month starting in September. Once people get to know where we are then I'm sure our sales will go up and we will have lots of money to keep going with this project. These events are also really good for community spirit and solidarity and we encourage people in the community to get involved. Tx. Karla. Xx
