THE BALL IS ROLLING as they say...

The Campaign is off to a flying start. A fresh round of funds came in right at the start that facilitated the Trapping Team to start work right away.

So, we send out Big Hugs and Thank Yous to those early Gifters who granted this campaign a good head start. Their names can be found on the websites WALL OF GRATITUDE page.

TRAPPING REPORT

The first trapping took place on the 15th of June. The Trapping Team was Rebeca and Tina. The goal was to trap two cat, one male and another very skinny pregnant female in the Monte Cala zone.

A grey male cat was successfully trapped but unfortunately a female grey escaped.

The male was taken to Veronica the vet in Benitachell by 11:30 H and his surgery was done by 12:30 H and returned to Tina where he spent his post op in Tina's bathroom until he was awake and strong again. Then he was taken back to the same spot at Monte Cala and released about 19:00 H

It was the great start of our campaign and we had very good teamwork !!!

The next trapping took place on June 16th. The two trappers on deck were Jacqueline and Tina.

It took place at the Zone Lirios / Olivos. The goal was to trap two cats, one male and one female who was in an early pregnancy. It wasn't easy but after an hour both cats were finally trapped.

According to Tina, "It was very funny because the female pulled the food from the outside the trap towards her and grabbed a piece and disappeared behind the corner for eating".

The tricky kitty finally entered the trap and touched the trigger and the door closed shut.

The male was just hanging around when Jacqueline grabbed him with a brave grip and like lightening got him into the box and closed the door.

By 9:30 H both cats were handed over to Veronica the vet. The vet has not been busy because of the Covid crisis, so she worked on the Cumbre Cats right away and both were ready to be picked up at 13:00 H

After both cats recovered completely from their operations, they were released into the green area behind the Lirios buildings.

Great team-work of all ! Special Thanks to Andrea who was helping us by luring the cats.

NOTE: Could the person who is feeding these cats please join the Trapping Team because the cats know your voice and trust you!!!!!

Tina, Veronica & Karla

We handed over the first round of funding to Veronica the vet. We are tracking all of the funds with Receipts, Rewards & Tickets.
